Have you heard of Polychlorinated Biphenyls?

Polychlorinated Biphenyls, better known as PCB, are synthetic chemical compounds considered just as toxic as the dioxin.


Environmental management and disposal of contaminated equipment with PCB and DDT waste, and the development of the technical capacities in Guatemala


The project seeks to create the capacities and experience in every phase of the COPs management and waste elimination through better techniques and environmentalist practices. It will help Government bodies put on track all the legal instruments necessary to fulfill all international norms.

The duration of this project is 36 months with the financial support of the Global Environment Facility GEF. Guatemala received 13 million dollars divided between three national entities.
